This is one of a small batch of pre-production proofs that were used to wet-proof the limited edition run. Each one has a slightly different colour balance that enabled the final run to be a near-perfect match to the original. What this means now is that each of these rare proofs is quite unique and to make each one even more so, Brian Froud has added a small original sketch in the bottom border. Each one will be a bit different so may well vary from the one shown as an example here. Each one is also signed and marked AP by Brian Froud and supplied unmounted. Conservation mounting is strongly recommended prior to mounting and framing and the print should be kept uncut with the colour bar intact (see top of image}.

The image size of 399 x 278 mm is exactly the same as the limited editions. Published by Artists UK. We used a 350gsm acid-free board and light-fast inks. They were produced on a hand-press by craftsmen and the definition and colours are excellent. Brian Froud is easily now regarded as one of the most elite of fantasy artists and is very collectable.
